About Josiane Le Gall MBACP
I became a counsellor/psychotherapist in 2003. Previously I worked as head of communications in a large international bank as well as in insurance and management companies (internal and external including the journalists, marketing, meetings, receptions, internal communications for the staff in the UK and overseas). When I was in my forties, I wanted to change my path and help individuals facing issues and problems in their life. I chose Psychosynthesis, a transpersonal area that helped me to understand in depth how we are as human beings and enabled me to guide people on their journeys including bereavement, relationship issues, health problems, changing their career or any personal issues they find difficult to face.
My therapeutic work has been enhanced by a complete recovery from a debilitating stroke some years ago.
I hold the Postgraduate Diploma in Psychosynthesis Counselling awarded by University of East London, and I am currently completing the MA in Psychosynthesis Psychotherapy. I attended a number of courses including Body Work at Chiron, The Hoffman Institute Certification of Completion (including Body, Intellect, Emotions and Spirit), Biosynthesis (a Somatic and depth-psychology), Ways into working with couples, Psychosynthesis somatic awareness and trauma, Anxiety and Anxiety disorders, City Literary Institute workshops and ongoing research including also the consciousness, an important part of us…
My training, work experience and any achievement
STARTING TO WORK WITH ME
We would need to have a first session to explore the issues you are facing right now. This session might take one hour for me to ask you a number of questions. If you felt comfortable to work with me we would enter into a counselling contract. Please note that the work we do is very confidential and professionally supervised under BACP Code of Ethics. We should meet every week at a specific day and at the time that would be good for both of us.
I work either long term in an open-ended ways or short term on six weeks renewable by mutual agreement. I offer mornings, afternoons or evening appointments, Mondays to Fridays.
THE WAY I WORK
I work face to face, exploring the issues, in the present, the past and the future. I work mainly with adults and sometimes with couples. The work I do is to bring clarity, understanding, facing problems including positive and/or negative beliefs. I guide people to understand their thought patterns and help them to take the right actions and decisions.
My working methods include talking, guided imagery, experiential exercises, with the emphasis on the relationship between counsellor and client, to bring about a greater sense of self-awareness and insight.
